Genevieve Joers
AEA PERFORMER AND EDUCATOR
A Seattle native and New Yorker by way of Columbia University, Genevieve has performed in musicals, cabarets, sketch, improv, and stand-up comedy on stages across NYC including Lincoln Center, 54 Below, Sony Hall, UCB, and Second City MainStage. She has also worked behind the scenes in writing and production at Late Night with Seth Meyers and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.
Genevieve is a current cast member on UCB’s Maude Night, and performs monthly at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre with sketch team Reunion Tour. She recently wrapped filming a guest star role on Mindy Kaling’s upcoming Hulu series Not Suitable for Work, and is currently co-writing a half-hour comedy about ghost hunters. Regional theatre credits include Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Fiona in Shrek The Musical, Logainne in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, “Bless the Lord” in Godspell, and Rosaline in Love’s Labour’s Lost. Genevieve is also a private academic tutor, with weekly students in preschool through college. She supports students in math, executive functioning, test prep, early literacy, and essay-writing in-person in NYC and around the country via Zoom. Genevieve’s sketch comedy team Reunion Tour will be premiering a brand new show on UCB’s Maude Night at 7pm on November 10th. She will also appear in UCB's 24-hour sketch spectacular, Sketch Cram, on November 15th. On January 23rd, Genevieve will be featured in a new play, Couch Tomato, at the People's Improv Theatre.
